I had my first flight as a Discovery flight, gifted by my beloved friends for my birthday in December 2017.
My friend Murali ( IG @aviator_mike_juliet) took me on this flight with his friend John. We flew in John's Piper PA-28 around DFW and had a trip down to Stephenville, had some amazing BBQ on Jan 6th, 2018. This trip was so amazing, that it refueled both of our dreams of becoming pilots and pursuing flying as it was always our passion.
Later, I (we, both myself and Murali) joined a Flying school, based on Spinks Airport in Burleson, TX, and got my training with CFI Robert and Ryan.
I had my 1st Solo flight on September 5th, 2018, in Cessna 172 N7013G, and it was a memorable experience and learning. My Instructor Ryan Signed me off after the initial 3 Touch and Go's. After I returned back from my 3 Solo Touch and Go's, I was informed that Ryan was sick and had to leave to hospital, immediately after he signed me off. He later told me that "I had the trust in you, and did not want to cancel your Solo because I was sick, and controlled my puke during the initial time".
Once I settled down in the Tri-Cities, WA, I decided to rekindle my love for aviation at Bergstrom Aircraft in 2024. This time, the path wasn’t easy — juggling a full-time job, evening and weekend flights, and ground school, and personal commitments tested my dedication. But after many ups and downs, I passed my private pilot checkride in October 2025. Now officially a Private Pilot, I’m excited to keep pushing toward new ratings!
